3. The review process
Every withdrawal passes through the following steps:
- You submit a withdrawal request from your account.
- A six-digit confirmation code is emailed to your registered address and must be entered.
- The request is queued for manual review by the operations team.
- Identity verification status and source-of-funds records are checked.
- Once approved, the transfer is released to your nominated destination.
4. When a withdrawal can be delayed
We would rather tell you in advance that a delay is possible than surprise you with one. A withdrawal can be held in the circumstances listed below. Where we are legally allowed to tell you the reason, we will.
- Identity verification is incomplete or documents have expired.
- The withdrawal destination has not previously been used and requires confirmation.
- The request triggers an anti-money-laundering review.
- A court order, regulator direction or law enforcement request applies to the account.
- Blockchain network congestion or an outage at a payment partner.
- The account has an unresolved chargeback or dispute.
5. Network and third-party charges
On-chain transfers incur a blockchain network fee set by the network, not by us. It varies with congestion and is deducted from the amount transferred. Payment partners may apply their own charges, which are shown before you confirm.
6. Mistakes
Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. If you give us the wrong destination address, the funds are gone and neither we nor anyone else can recover them. Check the address character by character before confirming.
7. Closing your account
- Request closure in writing from your registered email address, or from the Support page.
- Any open investment plans must reach the end of their term or be exited, subject to the exit terms of that plan.
- Your remaining balance is withdrawn to a verified destination in your own name.
- Records are retained for the period required by anti-money-laundering law, then deleted.
- Time taken to close an account
- Within 10 business days of the final withdrawal
