1. Who can open an account

You must be at least 18 years old.
You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract.
You must be opening the account for yourself, not on behalf of somebody else.
You must be able to complete identity verification with a valid government-issued document.
You must be resident in a country we serve, and not appear on an applicable sanctions list.

2. Why some countries are excluded

A country may be excluded because offering the service there would require a licence we do not hold, because it is subject to international sanctions, or because local law prohibits or restricts cryptoasset services. Excluding a country is not a judgement about the people who live there.

3. If you move

Tell us if you move to another country. If you move to a country we cannot serve, we will help you withdraw your balance and close the account in an orderly way. We will not simply freeze you out.

4. Attempting to bypass a restriction

Using a VPN, a false address or another person’s identity to open an account from a restricted country is a breach of these terms. It will result in closure, and it may prevent us from releasing funds until the true position is established.
